The acquisition
NEURA Mobile Robots has fully acquired ADLATUS Robotics, an Ulm-based manufacturer of autonomous cleaning and sweeping robots. It is the latest step in the expansion of NEURA's so-called Physical AI ecosystem, following the earlier acquisition of Bosch Rexroth's ACTIVE Shuttle technology.
Who ADLATUS is
ADLATUS develops autonomous cleaning systems for industry, logistics, healthcare, and commercial environments. The company already has hundreds of systems operational worldwide and has its own navigation software along with years of practical experience in cleaning operations.
Smarter cleaning robots
NEURA wants to equip ADLATUS's robots with more advanced sensors and AI capabilities via its Neuraverse platform. As a result, the systems should no longer simply follow fixed routes, but actually learn to understand their environment — think recognizing surfaces, assessing dirt levels, and adjusting the cleaning strategy based on experience.
Reaction from the founder
NEURA founder and CEO David Reger calls it a fundamental shift: "We want to give machines like this a new brain." According to him, cleaning is "a huge global labor market and, at the same time, a perfect example of what physical AI can change."
Andreas Lindemann of NEURA Mobile Robots said the solutions will be integrated into the company's Fleet Manager system, making cleaning a permanent part of NEURA's portfolio of autonomous mobile robots. The two companies had already been working together strategically since September 2025.
